Who doesn’t love a good slick of lippy to pull an outfit together?

Here are 3 of my tried & tested lipstick lust-haves right now!..

A Classic Red

Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro 400 – £29

Every girl should own a classic red lip colour. The bold shade is perfect for any occasion and gives the wearer the feeling that they can do anything (or atleast that’s how I feel).

This sleek number by Giorgio Armani offers a slightly blue-tinged red, with only one coat needed for a very decent colour payout. Although it looks more like a gloss style colour, don’t be fooled. The texture has a lovely creamy feel that goes on very smooth with a velvety finish and feels a lot like a lipstick.

As for staying power this might not quite have the longevity of Kylie Jenners Mary Jo K but even when it does start to wear off it leaves a lovely red stain to the lips, which looks great freshened up with some balm.

Pretty in Pink

Kylie Jenner Gloss in Posie K – $15

If you’ve been reading our blog for a while you will have seen our post on Stila V Kylie. As an avid fan of Kylie’s beauty brand (and just Kylie Jenner too – no shame) she was bound to pop up in my top 3. Now I know not everyone is a fan of gloss (myself included) but the Kylie gloss range isn’t too bad.

Like her matte lipkits this gives a great colour pay off and has quite a light formula making it comfortable to wear. However, while you escape the dryness that comes with her matte range you do get the stickiness of a gloss. One coat leaves me feeling a bit 90s school girl, so after a quick blot with a tissue I find this a lot more wearable without losing too much of the colour.

If you’re totally adverse to a bit of shine & stickiness I would steer clear of this one, but if you’re a fan of Kylie’s colours but not the dryness of the matte shades this could be the perfect solution for you!

The Perfect Almost Nude

Mac Lipstick Twig A65 – £15.50

There’s a good reason why this shade is so popular on Pinterest & Instagram. The colour is a lovely muted brown-pink, which gives your lips a subtle flush of colour without being too nude.

In terms of the formula, the colour payout for this lipstick is great and the texture is even better! It glides on with a lovely satin texture that isn’t too creamy and feels like it has real staying power. Reading other reviews a lot of people are saying this is quite drying, which considering I have naturally dry lips I disagree. Although it didn’t smooth over the appearance of my lips as well as the Giorgio Armani did, I didn’t find that it made my lips any dry or emphasise this too much.

The staying power is no Kylie Jenner but with the nude colouring the fade is far less noticeable…
