So it’s almost Christmas and you still have no clue what your girlfriend wants.

Whether she’s your best friend, girlfriend or sister, we got you!

And no boys, your man-parts in a box does not count as an adequate gift for your lady…

Here at 2 Brunettes we have compiled a list for you clueless boyfriends (and girlfriends), on the kind of presents that we females love to receive!

Ranked in price order, you should have no problem finding something suitable for the festive period whether you’re on a budget or splashing the cash.

99.9% of women are suckers for chocolate. Fact. *okay, I made that up*

Avoid a bar of Cadbury, a tin of Quality Street or a box of Celebrations or face looking embarrassingly tight!

Go for something a little more classy, a box of Thornton’s or Marc De Champagne truffles are much more luxurious and only cost a fraction of the price more.

It just looks like you put in much more effort than if you give her a giant box of Smarties from your local Tesco Metro.

Magazine subscriptions are great because they aren’t too pricey and who doesn’t love a magazine?

If she’s quite girly, Cosmo would be perfect, if she’s a little more demure go for Vogue or Elle and if she’s got a special interest such as cars, geography, art (etc) then you could find a magazine tailored to that.

The best part about this present is she will be reminded of you every month when her magazine comes.

MAC, Urban Decay, Benefit, Charlotte Tilbury, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, Too Faced and NARS are all the brands you want to be looking out for.

Try going for an eye shadow palette or a few different pieces from a new collection.

Clueless about makeup? If you talk to someone who works at the makeup stand they might be able to give some recommendations based on her hair, eye and skin colour.

Watch when you pass makeup counters together,  you may notice her eyeing up some products she can’t afford. Take note!

Literally. It’s no secret that us girls love Victoria’s Secret!

Just walk in there, pick anything up and she will probably love it. Don’t get any underwear if you’ve only knwon her a few months, that could come across as a bit creepy.

Body sprays, lotions, tops, phone cases and pyjamas are a safe bet… If she’s sporty maybe a tracksuit.

And you can never go wrong with a perfume! I particularly like Eau So Sexy.

Whether she’s the belle of the ball or a city girl, I’m sure you can find a pair of shoes she will love!

Jimmy Choos or Louboutins are fabulous. However, both are quite pricey and not the most practical.

A more affordable option, especially if your girlfriend likes to go on walks (or is out and about a lot) is a pair of trainers.

Go for a stylish pair of New Balance, Adidas or Nike’s that she could wear on weekends or on the way to work.

… Is the ultimate gift. Good brands that aren’t too pricey are DKNY and Michael Kors whilst Mulberry and Givenchy are much more expensive at around a grand! We also love Louis Vuitton and Chloe.

The list could go forever, but if you want the ultimate bag, Chanel is the one. Coming in at around £2,500 it is the bag all women lust for!

  1. These are great ideas. I’m personally not keen on Victoria’s Secret but I know a lot of women are.

    1. Thanks for stopping by Serena, I personally love VS but we are aware it’s not everyone’s favourite store! Glad you liked the rest of the post.
